Bachelor's Thesis at CER Summer Term 2025
Requirements
According to the examination regulations, anyone who has acquired at least 100 ECTS can register to write her or his bachelor's thesis. Ideally, you have completed an economics seminar before applying. We will let you know promptly whether you have received a place for the bachelor's thesis (see schedule).
Our confirmation does not imply a binding registration for the exam. This will only be done later in consultation with the supervisor assigned to you and with knowledge of the topic assigned to you.

Individual topic requests can only be considered in exeptional cases. In such a case, please send an email (from your Smail account) to the office (office-cmrwiso.uni-koeln.de) by January 8th, 2025. The office will forward your request to the CER research staff.
You can find a selection of typical topics from the last semester here.
Registration & Deadlines
In the Summer Term 2025, you have the opportunity to choose between two working periods (see schedule). Regardless of the working period, you must apply for a place at the CER within the application deadline. Since our capacity for supervising bachelor's theses is limited, your application does not guarantee that you will get a place.
Please use the registration form (application for the bachelor's thesis at CER, the form will be activated at the beginning of the application period) and email the completed and signed form together with your current transcript of records to office-cmr@wiso.uni-koeln.de
